Fun Fridays: Good Behavior Incentives Should Be Fun!

Help me give my students in-class games and activities to use during indoor recess days as well as incentive days for great behavior.

My Project

My students strive to give me their personal best academically. We work together as a team to ensure that we treat each other as a family. Recess and earned fun Fridays is where I get to see my students interact with each other. A lot of informal learning is done during recess and informal fun activities. Unfortunately, the weather in CT can put a damper on this integral aspect of social and emotional learning. When we are stuck inside, the last thing my students want to do is 'play' on the computer. They actually want to socialize with their peers.

As a student, I used to love recess and such earned social fun Friday activities, I want my students to experience these fun memories the same way!

Though my students receive free breakfast and free lunch at school, they each are rich in curiosity and kindness. I would like the opportunity to reward their kindness toward each other by showing them that their kindness should be rewarded with fun activities to work collaboratively on with their classmates. Also, these materials, building blocks, and STEM toys are a great way to have fun while spending a cold CT winter recess indoors.
