Fun Friday: Building Connections Through Active Play

Help me give my students the opportunity to engage in active, inclusive outdoor activities every Friday that build teamwork, physical fitness, and positive social connections through quality sports equipment.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Ines's classroom raised $572

My Project

In our increasingly digital world, my advisory students need regular opportunities to disconnect from screens and engage in physical activity. Our "Fun Friday" initiative gives students something to look forward to each week - a chance to get outside, move their bodies, and build meaningful relationships with their peers.

Currently, our advisory lacks quality sports equipment that can withstand regular use by middle schoolers.

The basketballs, volleyballs, and jump ropes in this project will provide inclusive options that appeal to students of various athletic abilities and interests. No student will be left out of the fun!

These weekly outdoor activities serve multiple purposes beyond just physical exercise. Students develop crucial social-emotional skills as they learn to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts peacefully, and work together toward common goals. For many of my students who struggle with classroom engagement, these active breaks provide a chance to shine in different ways and build confidence that carries over into academic settings.

The equipment we're requesting is durable and high-quality, ensuring it will benefit not just my current advisory students but future classes for years to come. The variety of options means we can rotate activities to keep students engaged and excited about physical fitness.

By supporting this project, you're helping create a school culture where movement, teamwork, and healthy habits are valued and celebrated. These Fun Fridays become something students eagerly anticipate all week, a bright spot that improves overall school attendance and attitude. Thank you for investing in both the physical and social well-being of our students!
