This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students want to learn to read. My students to to gain realistic knowledge about money. First graders understand that literacy is key to future success. They work hard and accomplish goals on the regular. My first-grade students are learning letter names, sounds, blending, and segmenting skills. Others are reading and working on comprehension.
Literacy takes many forms.
Reading and financial literacy can be embarked on from primary grades and strengthened throughout a student's education career. These young learners strive to do so in two languages. Bilingual children have improved literacy and other language skills, and a better understanding of their native language. Bilingual children have better working memory, and are better at planning, solving problems, and staying focused.
