The students where I teach are hard-working, well-rounded students. They strive to succeed at all they do and being at a small school, they do a lot!
I love having the opportunity to teach and coach students in our wonderful rural community.
These students spend so much time and energy working to succeed at all they do and I feel it a privilege to help them any way I can. Beginning at a young age, they get involved in sports, livestock shows, and other extracurricular activities. They all have goals to succeed at high levels by the time they get to high school and beyond.
My Project
At a rural, Title I school, the class size might be small, but the opportunities should be great! In elementary school, boys and girls have many chances to join local groups and after-school teams to learn new skills and find exciting passions. Basketball is one of these opportunities. Donations to this project will provide new basketballs for the elementary basketball teams.
The students here work hard for and appreciate all they have and would love the chance to practice and play with the equipment they can call their own!
Currently all grade level teams from 3rd to 12th-grade share basketballs for all practices and games. With their own set of basketballs, the elementary teams would have a greater opportunity to practice, as well as better quality balls for their specific use.
