This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to school ready and eager to learn every day. They are creative and passionate about learning in any way they can. They are learning to be good digital citizens.

Through critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, we are developing their skills for the future.

My students are so unique and insightful. They have different ways of viewing the world and they know how they want and need to learn. In my classroom, we incorporate ways to show student choice and student voice. My students find new ways to demonstrate their learning with every chance they get.

My Project

My students enjoy learning. They move around the room every day and choose their spot for successful work based on their purpose for learning. Flexible seating is a big part of our classroom.

My students tend to use certain spots more often and create their own work space.

The traditional school setting is changing. My students need our classroom to inspire a feeling of comfort. Having a Nugget in the classroom will give my students more flexible seating options. With this couch, they would be able to explore and use their imagination. It can be moved around and changed to become the seating they need most. We would be able to rearrange the pieces in so many ways to fit the needs of different learners and learning situations. The Nugget cover is machine washable. It comes in 4 separate pieces that can be positioned in different ways.
