Fun Flexible Seating

My students need wobble stools, exercise balls, and cushions for flexible seating to improve our classroom behavior, grades, and help make learning exciting!

My Students

Many students in today's economy come from low income families. It is my desire to provide a nurturing environment, where my students have the opportunity to thrive. My goal is to establish a classroom where students will feel safe and loved, regardless of their circumstances. I hope to give every student the tools they need to reach their full potential! I will be starting my eighth year as an educator in Eustace, and this year I was given the opportunity to move to second grade. So, as you can imagine, second graders have different needs than kindergartners. This is where flexible seating comes in! I want my students to enjoy school and want to learn, versus sitting in a desk and chair all day. With flexible seating, there are several variations to help each child stay focused, have a choice, and as a result, improve grades! I am very excited about this opportunity and would love your help!

My Project

Flexible seating, such as wobble stools, exercise balls, and cushions, gives children a choice, which creates a feeling of empowerment. I also believe it helps physical health and comfort. Students are no longer sitting at a desk for the duration of the day; they have opportunities to move and wiggle, all while still staying on task! Having flexible seating is fun and engages children in learning!

I believe, it's very beneficial for all classrooms to have flexible seating.

Flexible seating will help all children, especially those with special needs, ADD, ADHD, or children who are either shy or outgoing. This will not only help in one subject but throughout all subjects. This project is not possible without your help. Thank you in advance for helping to make this project a reality.
