Fun & Fitness With Lacrosse!

My students need 2 full size lacrosse goals, 2 lacrosse training DVD's, training equipment such as 6 sets of resistance bands, 6 sets of loops and 10 jump ropes get a great workout and be the best lacrosse players they can be.

My Students

Lacrosse is the fastest game on 2 feet - it only takes a handful of seconds to score a goal. By the end of this year, I want my students to have fun playing lacrosse, learn to work cooperatively as a team, and understand the benefits of exercise and a healthy lifestyle.

I have an amazing group of very diverse young ladies in my Lacrosse class, ranging from 9th to 12th grade.

They work very hard to achieve their goals both on the field and in the classroom. They are earnest, hard-working, conscientious, dedicated and focused.

My Project

My students will use the jump ropes to increase their physical endurance and the loops and bands, exercise bar and medicine balls to increase their strength. They will observe the activities on the Lacrosse training DVD's then replicate them to increase their technical and tactical skills on the field. The girls can hone their accuracy and precision by shooting on the goal, and the tent will provide shelter on both hot and rainy days. The mouth guards and goggles are paramount to my player's safety on the field. These items will be used for many years to come!

An active lifestyle is important to the well-being of teenagers and as they see improvements in their strength and endurance, it will give them a sense of achievement. The life skills they learn will follow them for the rest of their lives.
