Fun Fine Motor Skills

My students need hands-on manipulatives, like tangrams, color cubes, linking cubes, jumbo grip pages, and play doh tools, to build their fine motor skills.

My Students

In my kindergarten inclusion classroom, students are given a chance to grow and learn in a warm and inviting environment. My students are supported, encouraged, and challenged daily to be the best students they can be. They make me proud every day.

My students are excited to learn, eager to try new things, and almost always have huge smiles on their faces.

My students take pride in their work and try diligently to try harder each day. My class amazes me, as they are always trying to work together to learn new things.

My Project

Kindergarten is a vital time in a child's life when they are learning and exploring the world around them. Students in my class are learning to cut, write, build and so much more. All of these tasks require the use of their fine motor muscles.

Fine motor movements involve the coordination of small muscles in the hands and fingers.

Strong fine motor skills are essential to complete tasks such as writing, cutting, using a fork or spoon, threading beads, moving puzzle pieces, zipping, buttoning, and tying shoe laces.

My students need educational puzzles, play-doh, tangrams, connecting cubes, and jumbo pegs (among other manipulatives) to help them to develop these necessary fine motor skills.
