My Project

My energetic firsties love to play! They enjoy building things with their hands and participating in guided drawing activities both on paper and whiteboards. Though we have some toys in our classroom, they are not as challenging as I believe they deserve. By having interactive STEAM toys for my class, I can promote learning through play and develop both fine and gross motor skills.

I want my firsties to have a basic understanding of personal hygiene and keeping themselves and others clean, especially when using classroom materials.

They understand germs are everywhere and take that very seriously. So after they play, my scholars know to sanitize their hands and space before moving on to the next activity. Reinforcing proper cleaning is a life skill that will live with them forever, and ultimately increase their quality of life.
