Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a variety of students with disabilities within the elementary school setting. This year, I will teach students in grades 3, 4 and 5. As a result of their disabilities, my students often struggle to grasp academic concepts in the areas of math, reading and writing. Fun, engaging and differentiated materials are essential for the growth and development of my young students. Often, the curriculum provided by the school district, addresses students who learn in a way that is typical for their age/grade.

Because my student's have disabilities, they require more hands-on learning experiences and differentiated resources and activities which meet their unique needs.

With your support, I will be able to provide my students with activities and lessons which teach important academic concepts -- like multiplication, fact vs. opinion, and how to decode complex multi-syllabic words. Teachers Pay Teachers offers a wide variety of instructional materials that are specifically geared toward certain subjects, grade levels and abilities. With your donation, I will be able to provide my students with the learning materials they need to achieve academic success -- while instilling a love of learning and improving their self-confidence.
