This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have nineteen bilingual students who love singing, dancing, and learning about their world. Most of my students qualify for free lunch while a few qualify for reduced-price lunch. While all my students speak Spanish as their native language, they come to me with unique backgrounds and experiences. My students deserve access to the best possible learning experience and that is what I am advocating.
My students are inquisitive and eager to absorb new knowledge.
They learn from each other as much as I learn from them in the short nine months we have together.
My Project
These chapter books will be added to our classroom library. Often times, students wants to check out a book from the school library but with COVID this past year, students were not able to check books out to take home. Or even when COVID wasn't the reason we couldn't check out books, students would find the book they wanted was not available for checkout because it was checked out due to high demand.
Your donation would provide my students fun and hilarious chapter books in Spanish.
These titles will make great additions to our classroom library. Students will enjoy the books and be able to check out the next available in the series because your donation will buy us the complete set.
