This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students put a lot of effort in to learning, but the demands throughout the year make academics unappealing at times. Adding some excitement during school hours can give students a more positive perception of academics. All students receive free breakfast and lunch. The environment they live in can sometimes make it hard to focus on school. They show they are still kids at heart when they feel safe, but circumstances have made them create a barrier to open up, advance academically, and develop socially. They show so much potential and just need a little extra support to help them throughout their day.

My Project

These items will make shopping in our school store fun for our students. Earning points throughout the day will be much more exciting with the items in our inventory. Our students always show respect and make good decisions, so rewarding them with items like these is the right thing to do.

The students love shopping and get excited to see what new items have been added since they last shopped.

Providing rewards that are fun allows are students to be excited about school and escape from the sometimes strenuous learning environment.
