Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are eager and enthusiastic young learners who are just beginning their journey into the world of reading! Many of them are English language learners and benefit from extra support at home to build their phonics and early literacy skills. I want to provide my students with a LeapFrog LeapPad Phonics Take-Home Kit so they can practice foundational reading skills in a fun, interactive way beyond the classroom walls.
The LeapPad activities focus on essential early reading skills such as letter recognition, letter-sound correspondence, blending sounds, and decoding simple words.
This take-home kit will allow students to strengthen their phonics skills at their own pace, giving families a valuable tool to support literacy development at home.
With your generous support, I will be able to send home LeapPad devices along with phonics-focused activities and learning games. These kits will not only foster a love for reading but also build students' confidence as they take ownership of their learning outside of school. By working together, families and teachers can create a strong literacy foundation that will help students succeed for years to come!
