Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I believe that incorporating social games skills and sensory materials into the elementary school curriculum would be highly beneficial for my students. For example, by introducing cooperative board games or team-building activities into the classroom, students not only develop critical social skills such as communication and collaboration but also learn important lessons in sportsmanship and teamwork. Additionally, providing sensory materials like kinetic sand or textured objects allows students to engage in hands-on exploration, stimulating their senses and enhancing their cognitive development in a fun and interactive manner. These experiences not only deepen their understanding of academic concepts but also foster a sense of curiosity, creativity, and confidence that extends beyond the classroom walls.
