Fun and Motivating Ways to Learn Sight Words in Kindergarten!

My students need Write & Wipe Boards, Sight Word Cards, and Stampers which will provide motivation to practice and learn sight words and improve writing skills. These materials will make learning playful and fun as well as motivating.

My Students

The students in this kindergarten class are very active and represent a variety of different ethnicities, income levels, and backgrounds. They are kind and caring towards each other. I want to support the development of my students by providing word work manipulatives to support developmentally appropriate learning practices.

Worksheets are not the most effective way for children to learn.

By having work manipulatives, I can provide developmentally appropriate learning activities that are not only engaging but fun for kindergarteners! Learning should be hands-on and FUN for five and six year old children.

My Project

Playing sight word games, fishing for sight words, writing sight words on wipe boards, and stamping out sight words with play-dough alphabet stampers will provide student with materials to promote literacy skills which makes learning playful and fun for young children.

Students will be motivated to practice and learn their sight words through playing with these games and activities!

Active learning is way better than paper and pencil learning which is how they will be learning without these materials. We want children to come to school and be motivated to learn. By making learning fun we can motive children to come to school. These materials will allow me to have active learning centers for my kindergarten students beyond traditional paper and pencil dittos.

Please help make learning developmentally appropriate for students in my kindergarten class by having materials that promote active learning.
