This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a middle school teacher, one of the biggest struggles is to have enough time for students to get their wiggles out while still learning. Flexible seating options have been proven to increase student focus and physical health. Flexible seating options like Comfy floor seats and wobble cushions also give students a choice in their learning environment. The ability for students to have choices allows them to feel a sense of control and be heard about their needs. These seating options will also allow for more collaborative learning as students work together throughout the classroom to complete different projects and also while they read in the classroom library.
