Math can be intimidating for some people. I want to create a math class that is engaging and inviting, and at the same time encourages students to think critically. With the use of visuals, manipulatives, and collaboration I believe students can overcome their fears and become risk-takers as they explore and learn math.
With the help of a colored printer, I will be able to provide more visuals and manipulatives that will help them to learn.
I will be able to create and print card sorts, matching games, and pictures of real-world situations. These activities will be more engaging and meaningful and will encourage students to make strong connections to what they are learning.
