Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school will be celebrating our 90th anniversary this year. One of our principals would say that we were a hidden gem in our city. We have a small and wonderful community which makes our school awesome. We start the day by offering free breakfast in the classroom. This ensures all the students are ready to learn. Most of our students benefit from the free or reduced-price lunch program. I am privileged to be teaching at this school for over 20 years.

My Project

My students need traditional board games for the classroom.

I want my students to learn through games. I want to introduce them to games that they may not have at home. I believe these games will help my students in social and academic areas. I believe learning should be fun. I want the kids to have games like Operation, Trouble, Hungry Hungry Hippo and many more. I believe these games will be a great addition to our classroom. I know my students will be thrilled to have access to them.
