This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the school year winds down, keeping students motivated, connected, and emotionally supported is more important than ever. To foster a positive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional learning (SEL) and teamwork, I want to provide engaging tools that encourage collaboration, communication, and emotional regulation. With items like Kawaii Squishies and other fidget sensory toys, students will have calming tools to help them manage stress, stay focused, and self-regulate during class activities.

These resources will play a vital role in supporting students' emotional well-being and helping them thrive both socially and academically.

Board games such as Connect 4, Trouble, Jenga, The Game of Life, and Bananagrams will serve as fun, interactive ways to build teamwork, practice problem-solving, and strengthen peer relationships. These games will be used during designated SEL time and brain breaks to give students the opportunity to bond, reflect, and recharge. Small incentives like candy will also be used to recognize effort, kindness, and perseverance. With your support, these materials will help create a joyful, supportive classroom culture where students feel motivated, appreciated, and ready to finish the year strong!
