This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One class that is always a challenge for me is Advisory. It is difficult to get students to open up and have conversations. This is supposed to be a period for academic support, social-emotional learning, and building student-to-student connections. Some great ways to help students achieve these goals are through games and discussion activities.
Please help me give my students social-emotional games and activities to build peer-to-peer connections during Advisory class.
Your donations will help me provide my students with much-needed social-emotional learning. The social skills workbook and Teachers Pay Teachers gift card can help me provide my students with worksheets, check-ins, academic support, and self-reflection activities. The icebreaker and discussion card games/activities will fuel classroom discussions. My students have been asking me to do more fun things, and the various board games will allow students to build connections with peers in a fun way. Games like Uno, Trivia, The Floor Is Lava, and other card/board games are excellent for team building and morale. The mesh bag organizer will help to keep our materials and card decks organized. We appreciate anything that you can spare to help turn this Advisory period into a fun and engaging one.
