Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students attend a Title 1 neighborhood school where so much focus is placed on their academic achievement. They have a lot of standardized tests they have to take to be sure we are keeping up locally and globally but I often worry that their other skills and abilities are underdeveloped. This project will help me provide materials to ensure they have a well stocked art room with all the supplies they need. Like paint and markers to ensure they develop the creative side of their brain as well.

Creativity is so important to a child's development.

These supplies will ensure they get to express themselves creatively and develop those fine motor skills that are so important to their brain development. Help me give them these integral experiences in Art class for the 2024-2025 School Year.
