Help me give my students a better chance to improve reading, language and communication skills through books, visuals, and items that will make it fun and engaging!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing! Each student has their own personalized ties and characteristics. I have a total of 52 ELL students. Some have autism, while others are emotionally disturbed. My students are limited verbal, but with the right materials and motivation, I believe my students with the right materials I am asking for will have a better opportunity to learn or to increase their reading skills.
I would like my students to have the chance and improve their reading comprehension skills and anything that has to do with increasing their reading level!
This is why I also need to increase the number of books in my library as well as visual manipulatives that will give them an opportunity to increase language and communication skills in the English language.
Characteristics, personality, and motivation as well as the eagerness to learn are what make my students special. My students are hard-working students who want to learn and I feel lucky to have them in my sessions. I enjoy making my lessons fun for all of my students.
My Project
My project is to have all these visuals and books available via online. Due to remote learning it is sometimes difficult to get their attention. Having materials such as the alphabet cards, figures will make my lessons more engaging and fun for them to learn their beginning sounds and word families. (Which are so important for language and reading) These materials will be so beneficial for my students because they will be able to improve their communication skills. These visuals materials I am asking for will make it fun and easy for them to learn.
