This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students in our Mental Health Pathway have the dream to put on a Mental Health Fair for our entire school! We have a student body of approximately 1650 students and we did this amazing event last year. We now need sustainability and we need help.

May is Mental Health Awareness month and we are wanting to help students to learn how to learn techniques to cope.

A major component of the event is that every "booth" that a student hosts is interactive and allows students to "walk away" with a tool or item (or both) to help support their mental wellness.

We do this in May to honor the May Mental Health Awareness month, but also to assist our students cope with the stress of where they are currently. There are students that are taking AP exams, facing college decision-making choices and end-of-the-year finals! Help us teach them to put their mental health first!
