Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The LPA students are motivated to excel in school despite the obstacles that they have encountered over the course of their high school careers. Our students are Black & Brown; coming from all varieties of ethnicities; mostly living in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods. The LPA students are resilient, dedicated, motivated, and focused on success. They are bright, sociable, & compassionate, in achieving their goals & dreams. If given the tools needed to succeed, there's no stopping them from achieving magnanimous heights.

My Project

These iPads will help our students who are having technical issues gain access to the internet and the resources they will need for academic growth, development, and achievement given the fact that we are on a Remote/Hybrid Learning model. They will help to eliminate any environmental issues that prevent the students from acquiring the information and skills needed to be academically successful. The iPads help to generate lessons in all subject areas such as English (which is covering poetry & college essay writing), math (which is covering algebra, geometry trigonometry, & business consumer math), science (which covers biology, chemistry, physics, & astronomy) - US & Global Studies. Again, these iPads are essential during this time, given the fact that we are on Remote/Hybrid Learning. While this is a new experience for us all, it will help to reduce the disparities between in-person and virtual learning for our students.
