Every child deserves to hold a book that charms their heart. This year, I'm thrilled to see my students' eagerness for independent reading. However, at present, our classroom bookshelves are bare. So, during independent reading, students have been limited to reading e-books online. While I'm grateful for whatever digital resources we've found, there's something magical about holding a book in your hands.
This project will elevate their enjoyment and engagement with printed material.
I would love for my students to be able to select from an extensive range of books that are tailored to their respective grade levels. This would enable them to read independently and at their own pace, which is essential in promoting their literacy skills and fostering a love for reading.
I have selected these books with my students in mind. Over the past few weeks of school, I have observed them reading similar titles and have also asked for their preferences on what type of books they would like to read. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. Please help me provide my students with a "fully booked" classroom library.
