Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The mission of my school is to provide a socio-economically, culturally and racially diverse community of students with an exceptional public education.
Our children are growing, inquisitive, and learning new tools to make sense of the world around them.
My students are 1st graders who are beginning to take a bigger and important role; that will prepare and transition them to become second graders in the later half of the year.
As a classroom that loops from 1st to 2nd grade, students learn and accommodate to their surroundings with a more comfortable take on learning. Students learn from each other more and become much more responsible as the year passes by. Students are caring and understanding of one another because of their longer stay in the classroom with their peers and their teacher.
My Project
Having more technology in the classroom will benefit and support student learning in the classroom. Students will be able to efficiently practice skills needed on their own in small groups and will support and will give many more students opportunities to grow and use more technology in a school setting with the appropriate school resources. Students will be given the opportunity to make transitions run smoother when having the appropriate technology in the classroom and not be borrowed from classroom to classroom. Technology in the classroom makes lessons more engaging as well.
