I teach 3rd and 4th grade special education in Norfolk, VA.
My students live in an urban area and typically come from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
My students work hard to overcome obstacles every day, but they push through and always persevere. I am so proud of their hard work and the progress they make.
My Project
I have created this project with the hopes that these STEM bins will help wake my students brains in the morning. We start our day with breakfast in the classroom and then my students complete their Daily Math Review. After that my students typically read at their seats.
I would love to give my students the opportunity to engage their brains in the morning!
These STEM tubs would challenge my students brain and help them be more creative. My hope is to assign a bin to a small group of students every week and then have them rotate bins the next week.
