My students need a variety of learning tools such as a Vehicle Building Engineering Center and games like Simple Words Learning Locks that encompass language arts and STEM.
I teach Kindergarten at a small neighborhood school where the students come to school ready and excited to learn. We have a diverse community that ranges from median income households to households who are struggling to make ends meet. Our PTA ceaselessly fund-raises for our school but the money only goes so far in the classroom. Teachers usually have to decide whether to spend the donated money on basic supplies needed throughout the year or new and innovative teaching materials.
The teachers at our school really care about the students' educational experiences and would love to be able to provide enriching lessons and activities without sacrificing basic needs.
DonorsChoose.org is the perfect opportunity to help fulfill that ambition!
My Project
My Kindergarteners are full of energy and ideas! They need the materials I have asked for as an outlet for their creative aspirations.
One thing that fosters a successful Kindergarten classroom is the availability of a multitude of activities and learning stations.
I believe that students should be able too choose between a variety of learning tools so that they feel a sense of independence. This way students are truly in charge of their learning experience.
My students are fascinated by the Bee-Bots and absolutely LOVE any kind of building materials. Kindergarten students NEED hands-on learning activities...they should be engaged and invested in what they are learning. The material I have asked for will help my students progress in their learning journeys.!
