This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To integrate a 3D printer into the art and STEAM curriculum, providing students in grades Pre-K through 2 with hands-on, innovative learning experiences that build creativity, problem-solving skills, fine motor development, and career-connected learning opportunities. Our elementary school is committed to preparing scholars with the skills needed for college, career, and life — especially in high-demand STEM fields. As a Title I community, our students deserve equal access to emerging technologies that ignite curiosity and empower them as creators, not just consumers.

A 3D printer will allow our youngest learners to:

- Design and prototype real objects using accessible software

- Develop spatial reasoning and engineering mindsets

- Strengthen collaboration and communication through project-based learning

- See their imagination transformed into something they can hold in their hands

This aligns with New York State Learning Standards for Visual Arts, Science & Engineering Practices, and Technology Integration.
