My Project

My students have enrichment classes daily. They pariticpate in Spanish, music and physical education. Next year, they will have STEAM class to provide them art, science, engineering, and technology lessons. I completed a graduate certificate at Tufts University in early childhood STEM and will be planning and teaching the class.

The students will learn how to code using iPads and robots and will learn how circuits works.

The students will practice sequencing different commands to make the robots move. Then they will learn how to navigate through mazes and play games with the robots. The students will also learn how circuits and electronics works using simple hands on grids. I am very excited to teach this class. I have already implemented some of my ideas into my general education kindergarten classroom and the kids love it. I can't wait to be able to devote all my attention and planning just to STEAM education.
