Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help me give my students an experience they will never forget by providing them with the materials needed for STEM projects. My students come from very diverse backgrounds and face many challenges but they all have one thing in common, the desire to learn.

By giving my students self-guided, hands-on materials, they are able to have a unique learning experiences that promotes problem solving.

This teaches them how to self-guide and problem solve, while also providing them an interactive way to learn.

Their love for learning is evident, by supporting my class and this project you are supporting kids for years to come and providing them with an top notch educational experience!

My Project

The materials in this project correlate directly with children's literature that supports a growth mindset and will promote the students exploration. The materials requested are pipe cleaners, cardboard construction tools, wikki stix, pattern blocks, marble runs, the bins to store materials in, and much more! All of these materials have been carefully chosen to use directly with STEM education.

The STEM materials will encourage students to create, invent, and solve problems using a collaborative approach.

The resources with high quality materials will create an engaging opportunity for students to design real-world challenges with exploration of open-ended engineering concept. Students will integrate concepts across content areas that will expand their knowledge and connection to the real-world. Teams will establish their own roles that will help students to visualize the concept of a society that seeks better access for everybody in a community.

The pandemic has really hindered students' ability to work together with two years of virtual learning and this project will help begin more hands on learning and allow my students to work together and solve real world problems
