My Students

Who doesn't love to have fun learning? Students are eager to learn new concepts and to share their knowledge with one another. With the increasing demand for STEAM integration in the elementary school, I strive to bring new innovative learning opportunities to our students so they can tap into their unique interests, talents, and creativity.

The true joy of learning is experienced by all, as my students actively engage in learning in various ways, including the use of technology and through challenges that build active inquiry, critical thinking skills, and collaboration.

My role as the Library Media Specialist extends well beyond helping students find books that they enjoy reading. I also provide weekly STEAM lessons to all 24 of our classrooms from grades 1-4, where we are currently exploring robotics using the LEGO WeDo 2.0 kits. In the library I also provided numerous Makerspace activities where students can engineer, code, create, explore technology, design, learn and so much more.

This year our students are experiencing 21st century learning in a whole new way!

My Project

With the use of 2 more iPads, I will be able to provide students with more access to up-to-date technology and apps to use in our various Makerspace activities, during STEAM integrations, and with our LEGO WeDo 2.0 kits.

With your donations, you will be helping our students learn how to utilize technology, both independently and collaboratively, while advancing their learning through critical thinking, inquiry, coding/programming, and much more.

All students, even our most reluctant learners can discover new passions!
