My Students
I teach in a diverse area, and my hard-working students come to school every day ready to learn. I love my students! They are hard-working, eager learners. They come from diverse backgrounds including various ethnicities and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. I use whole-brain teaching strategies in my classroom, so my students are constantly engaged in learning and sharing ideas with each other. I want my students to have all of the essentials they need to be able to love life every day.
My Project
STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student learning. I am hoping to use these different STEAM/STEM kits to help my students create and customize real-world items! These are going to be a fun-filled introduction to early STEAM concepts! My students will be able to build and customize to their liking, and then put their creations into action! These hands on challenge kits will help my students think their ideas through, try it, and then make changes to parts that could be better. This will help them explore and develop skills in problem solving, creativity, force and motion, sink and float, and cause and effect. STEAM is important for young students to get involved in and these kits will help my students! With the Fairy Tales Problem Solving STEM kits and the Toy Maker STEAM Challenge kit, students will learn without even knowing it's happening.
