My students need a LittleBits STEAM student set, a LittleBits Gizmos and Gadgets kit, and 2 Dry Erase trapezoid tables to collaborate in a STEM environment.

My Students
How many of you remember having to sit at your seat and work all day long at school when all you really wanted to do was stand up and stretch your legs? Kids go from running around outside and playing to sitting at a desk for up to six hours a day when they enter school.
In a public school setting, my students are a welcome mix of abilities, backgrounds, and family support at home.
With a 90% minority population and 40% speaking a second language at home, some of my students are still adapting their dialect to public speaking. They are eager students, always ready to present, and are willing to break out with given time. Flexible grouping allows them to communicate through different learning styles and personalities. With a positive effect, my students are engaged and enjoy working with one another.
My Project
In our classroom rotations, we have some available STEAM options, but often they require solo work and don't lend to the collaboration and work environment necessary to build community and 21st-century learning.
Their opportunity to grow would heighten through the multiple sets of the Student STEAM set and Gizmos and Gadgets through LittleBits.
By having the same sets available to them, groups could learn from each others' mistakes and successes and create even more wonderful works of engineering. Through power, input, output, and wires, the students would be able to tackle their STEM skills with creativity and art to design amazing things.
The littleBits STEAM Student Set and Gizmos and Gadgets is a wonderful way to integrate powerful STEAM learning into the classroom. My students would light up as they have to snap Bits together to solve fun, rigorous challenges and build their own original inventions.
With the trapezoid whiteboard tables, the students can build a more collaborative workspace. The whiteboard table enables them to label the elements of their design as a work in progress, while the flexibility of the wheels allows for movement. The groups of students might work separately a first, but then move the tables side by side for a larger work area. Additionally, they can move the tables back to back for a circular discussion area where they work on projects together.
Most of my students do not have the opportunity to use STEM activities at school. I would like to add more STEM activities to the classroom for their learning. STEM activities will help my students to be better prepared for future learning and college.
