This year marks an exciting turning point—Physics is returning to our school for the first time in three years, and it’s back as a dual credit course! With 30 students enrolled—our highest in two decades—enthusiasm for science is surging. Even better, over 90 students in Physical Science will also benefit from the same engaging equipment and experiences.

These tools allow students to explore real-world concepts like force, motion, acceleration, and energy through meaningful, hands-on experiments—far beyond the online simulations they’ve relied on in the past. Most of my students come from poverty backgrounds and rarely get access to quality lab equipment. This project is about leveling the playing field.
These systems will support science inquiry, math application, and technology use for all students—not just those headed to college. Whether a student plans to pursue a trade or a STEM degree, understanding physical science, mastering technology, and building critical thinking skills are essential. This equipment mirrors what they’ll see in college and the workforce, giving them a head start wherever life takes them.
