it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kids have no idea there there is a whole world of coding, programming, engineering and robotics! I need your help to spark their interest in the technology of today through Lego Mindstorm and a microphone set.
My students are bright and intelligent students who just need a little bit of help getting the resources to spark their interest in computer programming and robotics.
We are from a low-income, high-poverty school but have the most wonderful supportive parents. Most of our students receive free or reduced lunch.
My Project
Students will work cooperatively in groups to engineer robots using Lego Mindstorm. Then, they will use their coding skills to computer program the Lego Mindstorm to follow certain functions. They will use problem-solving skills to work out solutions in their collaborative groups to meet their goals. The Snap Circuits and Rover will spark their interest in coding and electronics.
My students love to learn and I love to teach them.
The one thing that is getting in the way of learning is the lack of funding and resources in our community. We need your support and donations to provide the kind of sophisticated materials to challenge our students in high levels of learning though problem-solving strategies.
