My Project
At my school, we are developing a Nature STEAM program. Students take weekly visits to the farm, grow vegetables via aquaponics, tend the school garden, and study indigenous wildlife. The supplies I am requesting will help my students study nature in the classroom and on our trips.
Inner-city students need exposure to nature.
To address this, we are developing an entire Nature STEAM Curriculum. The aquarium equipment will give home to our school turtles, while the window box will allow students to observe birds closely from the classroom. The digital binoculars will allow my students to record their observations and share them with their classmates (including bats who will live in their bat box). The weather station will help students study weather, look for patterns, and can be used during our morning announcements. My students love to learn about nature and your support of this project will greatly aid in their education!
