My Students
My scholars vary in reading and math comprehension levels, but even the scholar who struggle the most loves to learn. And everyone's favorite activity is our Maker Space science time. These centers provide differentiation, so each scholar gets exactly what he/she needs to maximize learning all while having fun!
We are over 50% free or reduced price lunch, but together our community, parents, and staff work to get everything we need.
These scholars thrive on learning, and all of them love discovering more about science and technology during our Maker Space time.
My Project
Each Friday, we have Maker Space time. Scholars rotate to different stations that incorporate math, science, technology, engineering and art. These center materials will provide the scholars opportunities to participate in new, weekly centers to help keep them engaged and motivated. The scholars will be able to explore STEAM centers through problem solving activities and chain reaction activities.
Through these center activities, these third graders will grow as scientists and become life-long learners.
When there is such a wide range of academic achievement and limited resources, finding the right activity to keep ALL students engaged and learning is difficult. But centers provide the means for success for each of them. Furthermore, Maker Space time gives the scholars a chance to learn how to work together and build their collaboration skills.
