This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

My students are elementary-aged children who attend an NYC Title I public school.

Our Pre-k 3 Learners come to school every day with a love for learning and playing. They wake up with a passion to come to school and enjoy learning through hands-on activities.

My Project

Our project is for various gross motor equipment for our 3K students to use outdoors during gross motor/physical activity time! The playground balls are a highly sought commodity on the playground and our students would love some new balls to use during playtime.

The basketball hoops and T-ball set will also be used during gross motor time to not only encourage physical activity but also to engage our students in a team sport to teach turn-taking and build self-esteem and sportsmanship skills.

The classroom rugs and roller carts will be used inside our classrooms as part of our health focus as well. During bad weather, students will use the rugs to do indoor gross motor activities such as stretching and yoga!
