My Students

Each of my middle school students is on the Autism spectrum, and each has his/her unique needs and abilities. Most of my students receive an alternative curriculum to accommodate their educational needs. Our class has unique needs, and we often require a lot of visuals. It would be such a wonderful blessing to have our project, Full Color Visual Aids for Autism students, fully funded.

Autism is a communication disorder; oftentimes, individuals with Autism don't understand, or are unaware of, social and behavioral norms.

My amazing students are no different.

They're amazing individuals with all kinds of abilities, but some of them need a little help with social and behavioral skills. Thank you for your help!

My Project

Autism is a communication disorder, and individuals on the Autism spectrum often struggle with processing information, which makes following directions, asking questions, and making transitions extremely difficult.

In order to help my students with processing and decoding information, I use an extensive amount of full color pictures, full color visuals, and full color anchor charts.

I have found my students are most successful with visuals.

The copier I have selected will allow me to print these necessary visuals and images. Providing them with these supports will help improve their communication, basic reading skills, math, science, social studies, and vital skills needed for daily living.
