My Project

My class is full of 21 excitable students. They are so excited about learning and it shows with their inability to sit still. They are driven by movement and freedom. Giving students the ability to choose where and how they sit gives them more control over their own learning which has so many benefits. It gives them autonomy to learn about themselves and how they work best. It also gives them ownership over their own learning which increases success. I've noticed the more ownership I give them the better they behave as well.

The products I have carefully selected will be chosen by my students once a month (rotated each month).

Some may choose to use a normal chair, while some may choose to use a wobble stool, cushion or kick band. These tools allow students to move around while they are sitting and listening. This allows their brain to focus on the learning instead of the movement needs of their body.
