Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from homes who were hit hard by Covid these last 2 years. Their families are struggling to make ends meet and to put food on the table for meals let alone snacks. Please help me to give snacks to my students as needed. Quite often they are late and miss out on breakfast or are still hungry after breakfast due to having no dinner the night before!

It breaks my heart to even think that one of them has to go to bed hungry.

I want to be able to put snacks in their book bag for home as well as give them snacks at school to help with their mental health and wellness. Being hungry can affect their ability to learn and focus on learning therefore causing issues with early brain development and social emotional learning. Thank you for helping my kindergarten students to fill their bellies so they can fill their minds!
