My Project

Who can do their best work when they're hungry? Not me! That "rumbly in my tumbly" is distracting! This project will provide snacks for my students so that instead of focusing on being hungry, they can focus on doing their best work. Many of our students come from households that are food insecure. We have snack time each day in kindergarten and many of our students are not able to bring a snack with them to school. This project will provide easy snacks that are shelf-stable so children can have a snack at snack time to tide them over until lunch.

These snacks will be available to our whole grade level, and will be used by any kindergartener who needs it, allowing them to focus on the important work of learning!

This project will provide simple snacks, including granola bars, applesauce, chips, fruit snacks, and crackers.
