My Project

COVID-19 has disrupted student learning especially, primarily in social-emotional aspects and academic engagement. Students faced reduced face-to-face interaction, impacting their social skills and emotional health, and experienced diminished motivation and engagement due to remote learning environments.

Food and Snacks: Providing food and snacks in the classroom is a step towards nurturing a sense of community, crucial in the post-pandemic recovery phase.

This initiative fosters a shared space where students can engage in meaningful social interactions, crucial for their social-emotional learning (SEL). It encourages the development of key SEL competencies like relationship skills and responsible decision-making.

Television for eSports: Integrating a TV for eSports addresses the need for engaging, collaborative learning experiences. eSports are not only about technology and gaming; they're platforms for developing SEL skills such as teamwork, empathy, and self-management. Participating in eSports can enhance students' engagement and motivation, vital for academic success and emotional resilience in a post-COVID educational landscape.

Dungeons & Dragons (DnD) Dice for Creative Gaming: Utilizing DnD dice in creative gaming classes promotes imaginative and narrative skills while nurturing social-emotional growth. Role-playing games are excellent for developing SEL competencies, including social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These activities encourage students to work collaboratively, think creatively, and engage in empathetic and respectful communication.

These resources are critical in bridging the social-emotional and academic gaps exacerbated by the pandemic. They provide diverse, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences, supporting the holistic development of students in their journey toward academic achievement and emotional well-being in a post-pandemic world.
