My Project

This project is for snacks to help keep my students full and focused.

Many of my students come to school hungry, and it is very hard for kids to focus with rumbling bellies.

My students receive free breakfast and lunch, but sometimes picky appetites and late arrivals prevent them from being full. It is also a long time between breakfast and lunch.

Some of my students are food insecure, meaning food at home is not always a guarantee. We keep a collection of snacks in the classroom, but sometimes we run out. This project would allow my students to always have access to snacks when they need them.

These snacks make all the difference with my students; not having to worry about being hungry ensures that they have plenty of brain power to focus on instruction and academics.
