it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
It is so easy to forget newly learned skills. Especially when your 10 and anything seems more fun than learning reading strategies. I would like for my students to practice reading skills in a fun way which will then assist them in comprehending challenging texts. Please help us!
My students are extremely diverse.
They come from many different cultural,social and economic backgrounds. They are funny, loving and willing to learn. The school is a true second home for the community. We try our best to meet all of the communities needs but have been hit hard by extreme budget cuts.
My Project
Imagine sitting with your friends, playing a game and having the time of your life. These resources would bring that fun and joy to learning new reading skills that are often tedious and boring. Without even knowing it these students will be practicing skills that will lead them to have a greater understanding of any texts they read in the future.
With the At-My-Desk Reading Comprehension Activity Library students explore a variety of comprehension skills from reading for detail to drawing conclusions with engaging activities they can complete on their own! Each pack comes with leveled reading passages and all the materials my kids need to complete activities. Students just grab a pack, take it to their desks and build comprehension skills at their own pace! The Reading Comprehension Games Library helps students master what it takes to be effective reader with challenging games theyÂall love to play! Finally the comprehension card boxes offer quick and fun independent practice.
So often in life it is that one eye opening experience that makes all the difference.
These supplies will help open my students comprehension which will lead to greater understanding and the true enjoyment of the wonderful world of reading! Please help me bring the joy of reading to my students.
