My Project
I teach 9th-12th graders! I get this question often, "Ms., do you have any snacks or anything I can eat?" I usually reply "no," or I would give/share the snacks or lunch I brought myself. The little snacks I bring myself are never enough to share with all my students, and I feel bad when I can not share them with everyone. Most of them come to school hungry, and most don't eat the lunch they serve in the cafeteria. Some of my students also have diabetes, and I know they need carbs throughout the day. I teach teenagers, and often they come to class sluggish from working late the night before. I try to keep gum on me, and sometimes that helps.
With the help of this project, I'll be able to provide my students with snacks that will give them the energy they need to concentrate and succeed in class.
