Fueling Students' Passion for Reading!

Help me give my students books that are a window to the outside world as well as a mirror of themselves. I am requesting sets of multicultural books as well as read aloud fiction and non fiction books.

My Project

My students are a fun and active group of second graders in San Ramon, CA. I have 24 students at different levels in reading. Some can read chapter books fluently and others are learning to read in bigger scoops. I have many English Language Learners who need extra support in reading as well as in writing.

My students are all in different reading levels and all have different interests.

In order to best cater for their needs and enhance their skills as well as their love for reading, I believe there must be a vast number of books that are at the child’s independent level and of their interest.
