This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students need your help in supplying snacks for our school. I want to make sure all of our students have what they need to complete the day. As educators we know that if a child is provided the adequate meals and snacks each day, he or she will have the energy and nutrition needed to perform well and focus on their learning.
The variety of snack packs, fruit snacks, cookies and crackers will be consumed at our daily snack time, but it will also be used to create weekend snack care packs for students in need.

The students will not only be able to enjoy a snack in the afternoon at school but also at home. At the end of the week, I plan to send a few snacks home because some families can't afford extra, or they are having to share with other siblings. If we are granted this project, my students and I would be so grateful to know others not only care about academics but the health and wellness of young students.
