Fueling Our Students Minds and Bodies!

My Project

At our elementary school, located in rural Cazenovia, WI, we are trying to help fuel our students' minds and bodies, establish healthy eating habits, and lessen the financial burden on families by asking for your support.

Our ultimate goal is to provide students with one healthy snack each day for the course of the 2023-2024 school year!

We have approximately 150 elementary students and 49% of our school population qualifies for free or reduced lunch. Unfortunately, at this time we do not qualify for support from DPI for healthy snacks for our students, but we continue to work on this. In the meantime, we are asking for support to get healthy snacks for our students.

Nutritious snacks have always been an important part of the day because children are growing and developing rapidly. They need nutritious food to help fuel their minds and bodies. Students love healthy choices, but the reality is with the increase of food prices and the cost of supplying snacks for a classroom we often receive less nutritious snacks for our students. We buy apples, bananas, vegetables, and healthy snacks as often as we can for our students, however that is not sustainable.

We ask that you please consider donating to this initiative as it would make a powerful impact on our students' lives! Thank you for your consideration!
